Many intergovernmental organizations are address the issue on a global scale. The REDD(Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation) program by the UN, is providing financial incentives for the reduction of carbon emissions.$^7$
Non-profit organizations are using a variety of methods for the conservation of the rainforest. The Rainforest Alliance is using technology to tell customers about what products and companies are conserving or degrading the rainforest.
There are many things that are being done in order to conserve the marine biome. One of the main ideas that countries are beginning to support is recycling. $^{11}$
