Invasive species

Invasive alien species are any organism that is non-native to the ecosystem. These invasive species can disrupt the ecosystem. The ecosystem of a location is fragile already, so the introduction of the invasive alien species can be detrimental.

Example the Burmese python is an invasive alien species in Everglades national park, Florida, USA.

El Nino

It is the warming of the ocean surface above 0.5 C in the central and eastern tropic Pacific Ocean. It is an irregularly occurring event.

Algal Bloom

It refers to the rapid increase of microscopic algae. It turns the water into a different color as a result of the pigment in the algae. Red tides are an example of algal bloom. Most algae are harmless, but few produce harmful toxins. These will disrupt the ecosystem its in. It will prevent harm the fish and other organisms in the water, it will also harm the organisms that drink the water and feed off of the organisms in the water. This includes humans.
