Hydrographs are used to illustrate discharge. Storm hydrographs are used to show the short term variations. They cover a time period of a few hours to a few days, not more. They also allow for the investigation between a rainfall event and discharge.$^{15}$
Lag time is the difference between peak rainfall and peek discharge.$^0$ Raising limb is the part of the graph where the discharge is increasing.$^0$ Falling limb is the opposite.$^0$ Antecedent flow(base flow) is the normal discharge of the water.$^0$ Bankfull discharge is the discharge at which the river could flood.$^0$
